Un luogo è casa se lo vivi, cresci insieme a lui, ti offre rifugio, parla di te nel resto del mondo.

Non è più casa il luogo che parla della vita ospitata e improvvisamente mancata, lasciando il tempo scorrere da solo verso un destino sconosciuto.

Apice Vecchia è uno di questi: piccolo borgo poco distante da Benevento, privato della sua quotidianità a partire dal 1962 in seguito all’evento sismico che colpì nell’agosto dello stesso anno il Sannio e l’Irpinia. Gli abitanti furono trasferiti nel nuovo insediamento sorto ai piedi della collina su cui sorgeva il vecchio paese.
